Kris wrapped her arms over both Jake's and Wes' shoulders. "You two... I don't know what I would do without you guys." She had a big smiled on her face. She wasn't going to let anything ruin this night, including the music. "Hey Lily! What's up with this One Direction nonsense?! Let's get some Panic at the Disco going on or maybe some Fall Out Boy!" Kris wasn't to fond of the British boy band. She needed something less fangirlish to liven this party up.

“It's not nonesense!”Lily called back with a giggle.
“There's only two one direction songs on the list anyway! And the other one's gonna e turned on when most people are gonna leave! If you want to make request, go ask Lyra!” she pointed the the girl with a smile. Was it really her fault that the others choosing the songs with her were all fangirls of various bands? It has made her spend a lot of time to negotiate . And this was the result. It was lcuky that no one wanted Justin Bieber.

((Next song's gonna be something off the list-something from Avril Lavigne. From now I'm just going to recieve requests. But before letting it turn on I will personally go over the song several times to make sure it's good.))

Wes gave a blank face, "Yeah, I've never heard this song before." She'd only heard a few One Direction songs, the ones that were good enough to make it to high school/young adult radio stations. She didn't mind those songs so much; the band certainly wasn't the Beatles their fans made them out to be, but it was better than Bieber junk and rap. In reality though, anything and everything fails in comparison to Mussorgsky's A Night on Bald Mountain. So what if it wasn't Prom music?

Jake shrugged, not really caring about the music. He didn't listen to much of the mainstream music, so he didn't know most of the songs played anyway.
He gave a wry grin. "Well, I'm half deaf from hammering bronze all day, so play any nonsense you want."

The song moved and and it turned to some sort of Avril Lavigne song.
Well, seems people would get moving more now.She could hear a more positive reaction from the campers.

"I actually know this song !" conrad said proud of himself, and started humming the toon. "So, umm how's it going lately ?" Conrad asked Syl when the song finished, just to make short talk or whatever it's called. He hadn't seen his friend in a while, witch is weird since he used to see her all the time. Conrad was just busy, training and such. But not tonight, tonight was a night for dancing and punch and stuff like that, hopefully it won't be ruined.

For the second song, and probably for the rest of the songs, Jake hung out over at the side near the punch and stuff. Then he could snack randomly. He wasn't really a dancer. He stuck his hands in his pocket and messed with a few loose things in there.

Kris looked around and didn't really see anyone dancing. That upset her. They were at a dance... why was there no dancing. That's when the light bulb turned on in her head. She grabbed Wes' wrist and pulled her to the middle of the dance floor. "Dance with me! As my date it is a requirement!" She smiled brightly and forced Wes to twirl a couple times, enough to make her dizzy.

Andrew leisurely walked himself and Lily to the dance floor. It seemed that they were the only ones to go up. Trend setters! He smiled at the thought and might have chuckled slightly. "So how you liking this thing so far?"

Andrew really wasn't enjoying it until more people started coming on and dancing with them. Now atleast it was slightly turning into a dance!

Oh and guys, for the songs, I'm not going to receive requests or put up any more. Just pretend something's going on, I'll describe the general mood of the song for you.))

"I'd like it a little more if people started to get more active," Lily said with a slight laugh. the song ended and moved on to something she didn't recognize. But it was slow, and perfect for the sun, which was slowly setting. It cast a warm orange glow over everything. maybe now, more people would come.

Artie listened to the music, wishing she could dance with someone. She ate a cookie, looking bored and at the same time, excited.

Caroline ran her fingers down her dress, looking it up and down in the mirror. It started out as nothing too extravagant, a little bit of make up here and there, and a black cock tail dress that ran down to a little bit past finger-tip length. It might have been a bit short compared to the flowing ball gowns that girls seemed to like now-a-days, but she like the short dresses, she felt like she could actually move in them, and they were simple. At least her outfit was simple until she decided to walk past the Aphrodite cabin, BIG MISTAKE.

Although they didn't do anything to her dress, they changed everything else about her. Adding blush, eye liner, mascara, and bright red lipstick that popped out. To her hair they changed her simple pony-tail do, into an intricate work of art that stayed up by some type of magic, or hair spray, she wasn't really sure because both the fumes of perfume and hair products were beginning to make her feel woosie. And, to finish up the ensemble they added a delicate red rose that matched her lipstick and put it in her hair. After getting a look of approval from the girls, she managed to walk out of there without passing out from all the chemicals in the air.

Finally after that torture she finally made it to the dance, and she realized she was late. And to make matters worse she came in during one of the most awkward times for a dateless girl to walk in on, a slow dance song. Not really knowing what to do or who to talk to since she was new to the camp, she aimless wandered around hoping that no one would notice how much of a loser she was.
