Half-Blood High

Well, people were talking about how they wanted to rp school interactions, despite their characters having no reasonable excuse to go to school, never mind the same school.
So, this topic shall fix that.

Tada! Half-Blood High!

We're all in the same school, probably a boarding school. It's big and fancy and out of the way. Plenty of space for antics and whatnot. And maybe exploding wings of the school. This is demigods we're talking about.

(by the way, it's not really called "Half-blood High", and it's mostly normals.)

Anyway: Let's begin!!!



In the Courtyard

Jake plopped down on a bench, having finally finished moving into his room. Sometimes he really hated boarding schools. He had to pack up as much junk as he could get into the suitcase, live in a dorm, and stay there for most of the year. It wasn't like he could pack his whole workshop here!
He was in the main courtyard, which was an outdoor affair and in between the dorms and administrative buildings. It was rather vacant at the moment, with only a few groups of people hanging out in other corners of the square.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets, feeling the random materials he had in there, but not ready to just pull them out. Jake studied the courtyard for a bit, getting to know the nooks and crannies of the area.

[Axel The Bunny]

Axel stared at the sky, he was sitting in a tree at the new school he had been sent to, Windy Hills Prep Academy. he had ignored the sign below saying no climbing. after all somebody who had fought monsters and scaled buildings shouldnt have to worry about falling down a tree and hurting themselves. that rule only applied to those who didnt know what they were doing, as far as Axel was concerned anyway. then Axel saw the last thing he had been expecting, a familiar face. it was somebody who he knew from camp...Jake Arin. he was sitting on the bench below. Axel took out an airhorn from his small bag. it was one he had stolen from an infamous teacher here. he knew it was childish to do what he was planning, but he couldnt resist. he reached down putting the airhorn right behind Jake, then he used it, attracting attention from many of the people who had been standing in the square.

Jake let loose several impolite words and jumped up from his seat out of reflex. He took his hands from his pockets and whirled around... to see Ax.

Jake's shoulders dropped again once he registered he wasn't under attack. "For the love of-" He grumbled. He was partially angry about the noisy prank that had everyone's attention, and partially annoyed with himself for jumping into battle mode at the first noise.
He took a breath. "Hi Ax." He said, forcing his voice into a more normal tone. He was still standing, though, facing the younger demigod. "I'm guessing you're going to school here too?"

[Axel The Bunny]

Axel smiled a cocky grin at Jake's reaction, he could see why his siblings pulled pranks often. "little jumpy arent you, Jake." Axel of course hadnt spent much time outside of camp while he was alert to himself being a demigod. but he figured maybe messing with Jake like this wasnt something he would do too often. after all monsters do like to come at Demigods by surprise Axel thought rubbing the scar on his eye. "and yes i am, i was sent here from camp...maybe cause i may have angered the entire Ares cabin." Axel thought that had been why he was sent here. after all why else send a demigod away from the one place they didnt have to deal with monsters.

[Sir Malachai]

Malachai had just covered a yawn, his bag slung over his shoulder with his other hand as he entered the courtyard. He had turned and looked over seeing Axel use the air horn on Jake, and then cracking a smile at Jake's reaction, before moving on, heading towards another bench that was unoccupied.

Andrew didn't know why Chiron suggested he go to this boarding school. Perhaps to be more social, as he was when he'd very first arrived, or to get rid of a year rounder? Andrew knew that if Chiron had anything to do with it, it was mysterious.

Andrew roamed the fictional shelves of the school library. He'd wanted nothing more than to stick his nose into a book right now. Ever since reading The Tale of Despereaux that summer, he had realized reading helps him escape from life. The seventh grader hoped he would find a good book somewhere in these shelves among him. He looked over the titles of the books he saw: Les Miserables, The Hunchback of Notre Dame... Finally, the boy ran his finger across the spine of Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, slowly inching it out from the book shelf.He opened the book to the first page, and began reading quietly to himself. 
In 1815, M. Charles -Francois-Bienvenu Myriel was Bishop of D--- 
He was an old man of about seventy-five years of age; he had occupied the see of D--- since 1806.
Andrew quickly closed the book and walked to a corner of the library. He sat down into a comfortable position and continued reading the story.

Daquiri huffed out a puff of breath as she set down her bags on the floor of her dorm bedroom. She'd never gone to a boarding school before, but she already wasn't a huge fan of lugging around every belonging she owned in the universe. Taking a moment to take a breather, the red-head leaned against the door frame and looked around her new quarters that she'd be living in for the next who-knew-how long. She'd gotten kicked out of a enough schools in the past--she didn't think this one would be that much different just because the board was paying money out of their @**es to make the commodities nice.

Speaking of which, Daquiri was still wondering where the money had come from to cover the expenses for her enrollment here. Chiron had told her it was covered, but she couldn't really believe it had come out of the Camp's own pocket. While they weren't exactly broke, she didn't think they had the kind of cash to be throwing it away sending her to a boarding school just because she didn't have a home to go back to where she could go to school.

Shaking her head, Daquiri picked her bags up again and dragged them over to one of the two beds in the room. Hauling one of the suitcases onto the pillow-topped mattress, she began to unpack her belongings in a neat and orderly fashion, making sure nothing was out of place. Glancing over at the other currently vacant bed, Daquiri sighed. If her roommate was annoying, she was going to get kicked out of this school real quick.

Lily finished unpacking her things and looked around. Despite it being a bland dorm room, she thought that or once it might be a little cozy. Everything she needed was there-her favorite books, two or three dolls she'd kept always, the little phone her mother had given to her as a last-minute thing(Remember Lily, no touching unless if something bad happens.....) seemed to envelop her wordlessly and remind her of the past-and the present. The very thought was quite reassuring. Lily smiled somewhat hopefully and sadly at the same time. Outside, she felt confident and hyper. Inside, she was dead scared. She hadn't been out of the camp much.....only a couple times after he had died.
Honestly, she had no idea why she'd agreed to coming. She really didn't like changes in life, and this was definately a big change. She was alone. No old friends she could confide in. No resident best friend. No boyfriend-well, that she could overcome, if she wasn't distracted by the fact her current one would spend his time at camp probably stealing things and escaping death inside the camp quite a number of times. Deeming her work there finished for then, she decided to go outside for some fresh air. And hopefully some friends. She knew that she shouldn't be hoping for a familiar face, but there was always a very slight chance.
Slipping out into the sunlight, she smiled, and looked up at the sky, eyes closed and just enjoying the warmth it gave her, mixed with the wind.
She loved this time of the year.

[Axel The Bunny]

Axel was waiting for Jake to respond to what his reply of the question, but then he saw the last face he would have expected. as well as the face he had been thinking about for the last few days. he could hardly believe she was here. his heart rate soared at the sight of her. she looked as beautiful as she always did. all the rest of the world faded away to Axel. his girlfriend, Lily had just entered the square between the two dorm rooms.

Lily opened her eyes again and looked out into the sky. Sure, a lot of people would think she was strange. Wait till class started. She'd either be alone, or be the baby of the whole class and be watched over constantly. She lowered her face, and stared into the one person she really hadn't expected.
"Axel?" the word slipped out momentarily, and then smiled at her boyfriend ever so happily.
Her feet broke into a run as she felt the rest of reality slip away. Come Axel, and everything went to the back of her mind.

Axel moved so fast he practically shoving every person between him and the daughter of poseiden out of his way. probably earning a few angry looks the second he reached her, he had his arms around her, and he kissed her. just a quick peck, but it felt like time froze in that moment. any thoughts not about her disappeared from Axel's mind. Lily was probably the only person who could get in his head so much he didn't even think about stealing from somebody, and it was moments like these he wondered how he had been able to survive without the bond between them.

Lily giggled, a tinkering laugh that some would call annoying but she honestly didn't care. Everything was about Axel right now. His beautiful smile and the way he hugged her.....it was heartwarming.
"You dummy, why didn't you tell me you were coming here?" She teased with glee as her arms snaked around Axel as well and held him tightly. There was nothing she could think of. Times like these embedded themselves in her mind and helped her through the bad days.

"Smooth." Jake said dryly, raising his brows. He sat back down on the bench, putting a leg up onto it so he was turned sideways on the bench. He wasn't sure that was a very good reason to head to school for an entire year, but to each his own, he supposed.

Then Ax quickly darted off, and Jake looked over to follow the movement. He saw what was so urgent, Lily had come up. They seemed... excited to see another, to say the least. It was like watching a Hallmark movie. He frowned and raised a brow. Did they start dating? He couldn't remember. He never payed attention to that sort of thing.

[Axel The Bunny]

"i didnt know...and if i knew this was the school you were gonna go to, the first thing i woulda done was look for a certain cute blond haired girl." Axel enjoyed the hug, when he finally let go, mostly due to a teacher giving them a dirty look, it felt too short. "so i guess we are going to the same school then" Axel said feeling as if he had just won the lottery five times in a row. maybe this school wasnt such a bad thing. if it was a choice between Lily and camp. he would choose Lily every time.

"Yes we are,"Lily smiled at Axel, still holding him at an arm's length. So life wasn't going to be so bad. Far from bad, if Axel was with her. She hoped that they had mostly similar classes.
That way the two of them could watch over each other. They both needed that kind of thing, what with Lily's flashbacks and Ax's tendency to pickpocket. They'd probably last at least a little longer.
"I guess the odds were in my favor,"she said with amusement.

"yep, maybe Aphrodite likes us" Axel mused. though in reality that idea scared him. after all greek love stories tended to end pretty badly. but he pushed those thoughts out of his mind. just happy at the idea of spending a year with Lily. a thought jumped into his mind. "hey have you picked up your schedule yet...cause i might not have yet, or my dorm room number really." he hoped she hadnt picked up her schedule. that way they could walk there together. he also hoped that they both ended up in the same classes. though he was sure he was pushing his luck there.

When Malachai saw Axel leave Jake, he stood up from his spot and walked over the Jake.
"He likes to do that to you doesn't he?" He asked looking down at his friend.

Cat wondered, for the umpteenth time as she dragged her carry-on down the hallway, what in the name of the gods she was doing here.
   Private school? Really? She wasn't even sure if Chiron knew why she was being sent here of all places, though it was the wise horse-man who had directed her to Windy Hills Preparatory School.
   She hoped they didn't have a school uniform. Sure, she could blend in a lot easier with one, but they tended to include skirts for the female students. If they thought she was going to wear a stupid skirt, they really were stupid.
   She dreaded just about every possible aspect of this experience, aside from the learning. School for 6 hours a day for 5 days a week she could handle. But being in school 24/7, always having to listen to their rules, living where she learned, in a room with someone she didn't know? She'd rather pass.

  She found the room she was assigned to and opened the door, hoping whoever she was stuck with wasn't there yet. She knew better than to hope for a tolerable roommate. This was a boarding school, and most kids here would most likely be spoiled rich. She didn't come from some wealthy family, just a regular one, and the only reason she was here was because her summer camp decided it would not be a waste of their precious money to send a daughter of Apollo to a high-end school such as this one.
Despite herself, and despite having an inkling of an idea from the nice conditions of the hallway already, she was taken a little by surprise. She wasn't used to seeing such nice living quarters. Then her eyes fell on the other person in the room, unpacking her things. Her wavy, strawberry blonde hair swung a little as she turned her head to look at the empty bed next to the one she was standing beside.
Wait a minute...

Carrying her backpack to her dorm, Artie hated everything about this Windy Hills Prep School. It seemed more like Windy H*ll Prep School. And why does Chiron, the wise horse-man have to send her to a school for the rich..... Argh....This school year was going to be horrible! Unless....

She shook it from her mind. No, they won't be here. Too many demigods equals chaos. Chiron would never do that. Would he? Ugh.

Artie put the last of her things in her drawer and headed out to explore.

Going down to the courtyard, she spotted a couple of guys who looked familiar. "Hello?" Artie asked softly.

Suddenly, someone grabbed her bag. "Hey! Give it back!" She yelled at the stranger.

"Oh what? You'll punch me with your little fists?" The guy said, holding the bag way above Artie's head. The boy was taller than Artie, maybe a foot taller, with brown hair and blue eyes. He had a smug smile and he looked like he didn't give a crap about anyone.

"I can do more..." She muttered, walking towards the group of familiar people.

Daquiri braced herself when she heard someone else coming in through the door behind her. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and crossed her eyes to center herself. Zeus, if I murder this person in the next 24 hours, I'm blaming you. On that note, she turned around.

And found herself staring at a familiar face. "Cat?"

And it really was her.
  "Daquiri," she said, smiling wryly. "Imagine seeing you here."
  She walked further into the room, lugging along her carry-on with a little more optimism. "I guess my worries about a terrible roommate were for nothing," she commented with a small grin. "Although how this arrangement ever managed to happen, I don't know. Since when were you going to boarding school?" The red-headed daughter of Aphrodite probably had the same question about her, Cat found it safe to assume.

"What?"Lily laughed and gripped Axel's hand, dragging him towards the school office.
"Honestly,have you done anything since you got here?Come on,let's go get those schedules together. Then we can start unpacking your stuff," she wondered about what sort of things would be in Axel's things. It'd surely be quite........amusing.

(oh and ppl i have dibs on jake as a roommate, mainly cause Ax and Jake will drive eachother crazy)

"well, i napped, that is something isnt it, and im not gonna lie to you." Axel held up a wallet he had stolen. "I may have gotten...distracted." Axel smiled as he walked with Lily. He had cut down on stealing since he had started dating her, but he was a hermes kid after all. it was something he couldnt live without. especially with these rich kids walking around. Still he walked close to Lily, letting her lead the way to the office.

Syl had already heard a few demigods coming to Windy Hills Prep.

She lugged her bags to her dorm and wondered who had come. She didn't know what she was doing in school - maybe it'd be a good experience. Cheesy.
And not likely.
Was it experiencing enough being at camp and facing monsters? Probably yes.
It escalated quickly, with her scanning the room, organizing her necessities, checking the beds. Then walking out.
Where to go?

Class didn't start until later. She could visit the courtyard.
In the courtyard, there was a fence that had a sign saying "Do not climb" and Axel, Lily and Jake.

{So.... who's my roommate?}

Andrew inhaled and exhaled occasionally as he continued reading. This was a quite fantastical story, he thought. It had so sadness, and was serious; it hasn't been as he had expected. Although, there were moments of joy and light that stood out from the gloominess.
 " The Revolution came; events exceeded each other with precipitation; the  parliamentary families, decimated, perused, hunted down, were dispersed. " he read aloud to himself with wonder. Yet something made him think: Why would these people hunt down others? He thought hard on this question, before remembering something. "Parliamentary... Isn't that government?" he questioned aloud. Then suddenly he changed his earlier question to another; why would these people hunt down the government?
Andrew took a slip of paper and put it in the book as a bookmark and stood up; fun there, thy p he quickly went to the librarian, Miss Theissen's desk. "May I please check this book out, ma'am?" he asked.
"Eh?" the librarian questioned.
"Check this book out please?"
"Oh!" realized the woman. "Yes. Name?" she asked, turning to her computer.
"Andrew Andreli."
She nodded, clicked something on the mouse, and scanned the book. "There you go."
"Thank you, miss." said Andrew, taking his newly checked-out book and went away from the fantastic world of reading. At least, that is, until he might make a friend or two; her didn't want to be all alone the whole year in this retched h***.
