A Canoe Ride

Andrew walked up to the lake hand in hand with Alexis he then asked her "So what are we going to do. Just canoeing or something else."

Alexis nodded,"Yeah it'll be fun,I haven't been conoing for a long time."Alexis said softly and smiled a little before pecking his lips with hers and looked at him.

Andrew then pulled away and noticed a canoe. He then got in grabbed a paddle and motioned for her to join him.

Alexis walked over to the canoe,she grabbed the other paddle and got into the canoe.

Andrew then started to paddle and he asked "So off to the middle of the lake?" He thought that the lake was connected to Poseidon's mood swings but he guessed that Poseidon was in a good mood or just didn't care.

Alexis nodded,"I guess."Alexis said softly while paddling with him.

After what felt like forever they finally got to the middle of the lake. Once they did Andrew lied down in the boat rocking it to the side a little. He then let out a sigh of relief and asked her "So what now are we just going to relax or do something like swim?"

Alexis shrugged," I guess we can just relax." Alexis said and touched the water with her fingertips.

Andrew nodded and closed his eyes. He then opened his eyes back up and looked at Alexis "So I'm in the mood for truth or dare or something like that. Do you have a favorite game?" he asked Alexis.

Alexis looked at him and raised an eyebrow,"Well um....I've played board games and capture the flag is considered a game. I haven't played anything in a while,just drawing."Buildings. She shrugged,"Truth and dare is fine."she smiled a little.

Good drawings and you look pretty enthusiastic. Something wrong or you want to do something else......like learn about some of the stuff you like to do?" he asked her eagerly. At least now he could get the chance to know her.

He looked down at the lake seeing his reflection. The same one he'd looked at every once in a while. He noticed his eyes a lot more saddened than what they use to be, his eyebrows creased in worry. This was a stranger, a different person that he was unfamiliar with. Still staring down at himself he noticed his face relax when he looked at Alexis.

Maybe this was what he'd been looking for for so long. Something to continue his being. Now not only did he have her but friends and a home. A home he was willing to die protecting. Something that he WOULD do if it came to it. He splashed the water sending ripples to where his face was. Looking back up at Alexis he waited patiently for a reply.

Alexis sat up a bit from the hard ground then put her fingers in he cold water then flickered some towards Andrew. She didn't care she just enjoyed annoying people sometimes,especially to get some sort of attention. Alexis gathered some water on her skin watching it drop down in sprinkles. Alexis,smiling a bit threw more water at him.
