'The power of shadows?' He asked, 'I would think that the power a loner would want would be invisibilty and the power of self loathing. The power of shadows is the power that cool gothic super heroes get.'
Dominic raised his arms and struck a super hero pose, 'All fear the shadow commanding powers of Destiny Grimm!'

Destiny couldn't help but laugh.
"Stop! I'm NOT a cool gothic super hero! I'm just some socially awkward kid who can control the shadows. Besides, take it from me, you can easily disappear in the shadows."
She studies him more carefully. There was more to him than she had initially realized.

'Socially awkward or not, those powers rule.' Dominic said and flashed a bright grin at her, 'Now how about we go back to camp and get our injuries sorted? Its only just hit me that my hands are kind of burnt.' He said sheepishly before gesturing to the palms of his hands; they were blistered and raw from where his shield had burned them.

Destiny's eyes widened at his hands. "This happened and you're JUST bringing it up now?!" she asked worried. "Yeah, we should probably go. Like, right now!" She jerked her thumb towards the infirmary's general direction.

'Don't worry about it. It hurts like heck but its not that bad.' Dominic said before clenching his fists and choking as raw pain shot up his arms.
'Ok...I'm going to need to go to the infirmary.' Dominic said whilst wincing.

Destiny frowned. She was mentally cussing at herself. How didn't she see it before? She loathed her ignorance. Without thinking, she grabbed one of his hands and said, "Don't move." Pulling her mind together, she looked at the burns. They were bad. She was mentally beating herself up now.
"You should really not touch anything to prevent infection. If you have water, pour it over it," she said worried. The last thing she needed was some guy needing to get his hands chopped off just because she didn't pay attention.

'Wow there doctor, I'll be fine.' Dominic said with a smile, 'I'm the son of a healing god. If my hands get infected then I'll heal them. Theres no need to panic.' He said before lifting one blistered finger before her face.
'Watch.' He spoke before his eyes closed.
From inside of him he felt a tug, a sensation of power that was both awful and incredible. At that moment the finger began to heal. The blisters cleared and the the raw red color drained away.
Dominic dropped his hand and let out a gasp. He was panting and sweating like he had just run a triathalon.
'Obviously I would prefer not to because healing makes me almost pass out.'

Destiny's eyes widened a little at the healing. She smirked, "I thought you said you didn't get any cool powers!" She was teasing him, of course, but she found his powers awesome.
"Come on, let's get you to the hospital wing." She nudged her head toward the direction and started off.
