Mixed feelings rampaged in Estelle's usually calm mind. One could describe it as a malfunctioning machine, or she thought, since it affected her usual functioning ability. For whatever reason, Acacia had asked her if she could go back to the woods. She wanted to make a family too, the owl had said to her. So of course Estelle let her go.

After all that, Estelle felt like she deserved a break. Riight before sunrise, she headed down to Long Beach with a piece of candy cane and a bag of chips, and sat quietly on the chilly shore, enjoying the sweet tang of the candy. The sea breeze made her somewhat big pajamas flap around, which was not unpleasant. It seemed like she was a kid again, but you know, a normal kid who actually likes the ocean. Estelle had never had a thing for water, and had always preferred the woods or the mountains. She must have been more confused than she thought. Fortunately, the night's shadows hid her from the prying eyes of the harpies. Not that she really needed it; she knew how to dodge the harpies with some years of experience under her belt that was pretty much gained by almost getting torn apart multiple times.

With sweat going down his face, Andrew finished up his morning jog. Ever since he'd been here at Camp he had these jogs to help clear his head, with the permission of Chiron of course. It seemed like this was the only way he had to think now of days, and today was a great day to have one of these sessions.

The morning breeze came off of the salty beach he was now crossing, he didn't know why but he always seemed to stop in this exact spot. Either out of habit now or maybe because it was such a spectacular site to watch. Everything just seemed right that day: the sun, water, sand, temperature, and there was even a person here to talk to.

Wait, a person was out this early in the morning? He didn't know what to think, either the camper was stupid or very brave because the harpies were very vicious creatures. He tangled with them once and ended up being in the Camp's infirmary for a whole week, not the type of creatures he really cared to mess with again.

Quickly jogging over to see who it was, he noticed the camper was a girl probably someone he knew. Maybe this morning would be a fun one with her, who knows?

Conrad stepped onto white sand of the beach, he had just come back from the arena. Honing his skills and destroying the dummies was one of the only things that could help him take out his frustrations. It had been a stressful past couple of weeks, and being the technical Senior councilor of the ares cabin, there wasn't really any one there besides him, didn't help much either.

Honestly he couldn't care less about the harpies, he would just fight back. Plus there wasn't usually any people awake this early in the morning, so it was typically calm and silent. He liked walking along the beach, listening to the calm lapping of the waves crawling onto shore, not to mention the beauty of the sun rising above the water. Was it abnormal for an ares kid to be mushy and gushy? Maybe, but he had changed since he entered camp, like he found his wild side or something. He hadn't become more vicious or blood thirsty or anything, but he wasn't afraid of a fight, and he was slightly more out going and extroverted than when he first joined camp half blood.

Spotting two people at the beach, an unusual sight at this early in the morning, Conrad stepped towards them. His sword as still resting on his shoulder, man, I hope I don't scare them away or anything
"Hey guys! What're you doing her this early in the morning?"Conrad asked , despite being out at an unreasonable hour as well.

Estelle had never been informed about Andrew's early jogs, and therefore was quite surprised when the boy came up to her. She didn't expect anyone to be up at this hour except herself, but apparently she had been mistaken. "Hello, Andrew," she said, nodding once to him. "Long time no see." Andrew had been her faithful training partner? friend? for some time now, and she had recognized his silhouette easily in the dark. Hence she did not take out her weapons.

However, when she spotted another shadow--with a sword out--she laid a light hand on her dagger, easing it out in millimeters. When the figure opened its mouth to speak, the blade was only half sheathed. The tension in her fingers loosened as she heard the familiar voice of the Ares counselor. It would have been unwise to be without a weapon in hand when in the company of an Ares child, but Estelle figured that Conrad would not be reckless, unlike his siblings. The dagger slipped back into its home. "Conrad." She greeted in a murmur, giving the hint that they should probably be more quiet. She did not want to risk an unnecessary fight with the harpies.

Andrew smiled at the familiar voice, Estelle. "Estelle! It has been a long time...since I kicked your but at training." He continued to walk down toward her. Had it really been such a long time since they'd seen each other? He'd been so caught up with the library under his cabin that he forgot to even talk to anyone, not even during eating sessions was he usually "all there". Often caught on auto-pilot the whole day, he didn't really think to actually have a decent discussion with anyone.

He was about to give her a hug when she started pulling out her knife. "Umm hey, sorry I won't hug you. Geeze." He held out his hands in a protective way his spikes on his gloves coming out, sensing the fear in him. He hated fighting with Estelle, and not because she always won.

Continuing to back up, he ran right into the newcomer, knocking both of them down. The sword Conrad was holding nearly cut his neck open on his shoulder. "Gods! I'm so sorry." He nearly shouted it out, not even thinking what time of day it was. Covering his mouth with one hand he got up. Then reached out his hand to help Conrad up. "Do you think they heard???" It was only a whisper but he was sure his friends heard him.

This, was obviously a stupid idea.
Lily's bare feet slipped a little as she made her way down the sandy beach. Normally her outings were much, much less conspicuous, as in secret trips out to the forest to read a little. No one ever caught her, and nothing ever threatened her. She was starting to believe that the harpies in fact weren't too eager to kill the campers. After all, they were teenagers, thirsty to break the rules and make a statement on the world somehow.
Besides, she wasn't doing anything bad. Of all the years that she'd lived in the camp, Lily was never quite marked as a rulebreaker. The daughter of Poseidon was silent, agreeable and compliant most of the time, provided that she was mood swing free.
That, didn't happen too often.
Just a quick dip. A quick swim or wade, or something, to clear her mind a little. The blond was quickly getting lonely, and wanted a little company. The waves, cold and unforgiving, were sometimes the best companions for that.
But it seemed today that fate wasn't quite on her side.
Should she go? Or should she just go back to her cabin, and pretend nothing was happening?
Against her better judgement, Lily approached the three as quietly as she could, attempting to stop once she saw the gleam of a knife. Or a sword. Multiple weapons. This was hardly ever good.
Maybe she could just play nice, and nothing too bad would happen. After all, despite being by the sea the blond was unarmed. No hidden knives, or bows, or anything. Just the water.
She crept closer and closer, until she was a few steps away from them.
"Do you think they heard?"
Lily rolled her eyes a little, as she smiled silently. Of course. She wouldn't be skinned, not with these guys.
"Might want to be a bit quieter there, Andrew."
