History: Mark Ava, a journalist, met Achelois during one of his trips around the world. They quickly fell in love, and Kyain was born. Because Mark had to travel a lot for his stories, Kyain also had to go with him. Of course, school was an issue, but Mark did his best to homeschool her and brought an occasional tutor. It wasn't too bad for Kyain- she loved traveling with her father. Her powers weren't fully developed yet, and so she lived happy years- until the Iraq War. Well, to be more specific, when she and her dad went there to do a story for the Iraq War. She was only 7 at the time, and this was when she fully realized her powers. The war had brought so much pain, both physical and mental, and Kyain could sense it. She was scared, not knowing what it was, the certain feeling inside her. She knew exactly how to comfort each and every person. She kept it a secret to Mark, seldom demonstrating this power. She withered inside herself, muttering phrases and doubling over randomly. She didn't eat very much for the time, and bottled everything up in herself. It hurt her, it really hurt. She cried most of the tears she would use in a lifetime.
Kyain stayed at an old hotel, where she used a little of her power to soothe the tension in the air. She was loved by the staff, and stayed there until a certain strange man came into the hotel. He was a manticore, but of course she didn't know that. She tried to reach out to him like she did to the others, and he sensed her powers, marking her as his next victim. Shortly after, he tried an attack, but failed because Mark took Kyain, age 8, and ran away to America. During the plane ride to California (Mark was informed of Camp Half Blood, the gods, etc. Achelois told him) Mark told Kyain as much as he could, but could not bear to part with his 8 year old daughter. He thought they were safe. Unfortunately, the manticore caught his scent, and alerted his buddies. The monsters caught up with Mark and Kyain, and Mark died during the attack. However, the hunters were near, and apparently a monster in the pack was one they were looking for. Mark was too late to save, so they protected Kyain instead. Kyain joined the Hunters of Artemis, and it has been a year since. A fast learner, Kyain adapted quickly to the life of a hunter. Though others know that she doesn’t need to be taken care of, they still feel a protective instinct to do so.

Physical Appearance: Kyain is a small girl, even for her age. Pale, innocent features.She looks delicate, with large doe eyes that are obviously diagnosed with heterochromia iridum. She has one grey eye and one blue. Kyain seems to have an air of sadness and exhaustion around her sometimes, even though she tries to be cheery. Probably because of what she has to go through. Full, red lips. She is a brunette/blonde with wavy/curly hair. The only piecings she has are for earrings.
Kyain dresses how she can, but she has a sense of fashion and style that’s not really common at such a young age. Everything is usually silver/grey/white/black, but if she can get her hands on more colorful material, why not? Not too picky about what she wears, in general.
She also has a thin silver necklace that she frequently rubs when she is thinking, or when under stress. It has a tiny star-shaped pendant of real diamond, the only present left that her father gave her before before death. Her portrayer is Lauren Hannah Lunde or Kristina Pimenova.

Personality: Fierce: Kyain is pretty fierce for a 9 year old. Upon receiving the knife that the Hunters gave her, she tried to immediately convince them to go after the manticore that killed her father, so as to reap vengeance.
Determined: Kyain knows that she can achieve anything if she set her mind to it. Or so she believes. Once she has set a goal, she strives to reach it even more than others, and she won’t let petty injuries get in her way. She’s experienced worse pain.
Flexible: Kyain excels at improvising. Perhaps it is because of her childish imagination that helps her do so.
Mature: Having experienced different degrees of pain in the warzone, Kyain is more mature than her peers. She does not throw childish fits. She knows how she must act accordingly in situations, and thinks like an adult does.
Trustworthy: Unless someone is immediately about to die, or some big thing is about to happen, Kyain will take a secret to the grave.
Loyal: Kyain appreciates people who trust her. She does not let them down, so that they do not suffer pain because of her. She knows that they have enough pain without her betraying them. Because she is so reserved, she rarely makes real friends, but when she becomes attached to someone..she would do anything for him or her, even push herself off the limit of the amount of pain she can take for them. (This ties in with her fatal flaw.)
Perfectionist: An extreme perfectionist, Kyain overworks herself to achieve her own standards, which are high up in the clouds. Thing is, these standards get highter and higher as she achieves them.
Distant: She is reserved from others, except a select few. She tries to cover this up with a brighter smile and a cheerier response. This is because of the pain she has had to burden at such a young age.
Fake emotions: Kyain fakes her emotions, and she is good at it. She doesn’t want others to know the pain she’s going through when she lets her guard down. She wants to make them see her as a strong person, and that she contributes to the group.
Observant/Quick Learner: Kyain observes without really meaning to. Perhaps she has watched and learned from her father, a journalist. This helps her learn things quickly.
Fears/Phobias: A slight case of claustrophobia, fears being a burden on others.


Fatal Flaw: Loyalty. Kyain does everything within her power to help her loved ones. She may push herself too far in taking away their pain, and this may take a toll on her health, possibly even leading to death.

Talents: Kyain has the power to sense the pain and weakness in others. She can relieve them of their pain, but she has to take them out on herself. She cannot take away the injuries, only the feeling of pain. The power to sense the pain cannot be controlled; but the power to take it away can. Physical pain is easier to relieve, and to burden. However, she can relieve mental pain for people she especially cares about- this is much harder for her because she has to "live" through what that person is experiencing for them. Because she can sense specifically what type of pain they are going through, she can be either be a really nice person or a really good manipulator. She is also good at improvising, and uses her knife expertly.


Weapons: A silver knife, and the classic silver bow and arrows

Other: She loves, loves, loves sweets. And she follows Kylie like a little sister.

Anyway, I think my only comment on this is that in your personality you say your fatal flaw is loyalty, but it's different in your actual fatal flaw section...also, the one in the actual section says your FF is a fear, and that's technically a no-no. >.< Needs to be a personality trait. Otherwise, it's great! I see you just basically took your HBH app. ;-)
