Claimed By The Night (Open to all)

Severine discreetly walked into the mess hall and sat down at the Hermes table. She wasn't consciously trying not to be noticed, but it seemed like she was all the same. She sat down at the Hermes table, where she had sat for meals the past three days. It was by far the most crowded table, for the Hermes cabin took in all the unclaimed campers. She scowled, uncomfortably squished between two beefy boys that she had no interest in associating with. THough this strange camp was certainly better than the alternative, she still felt out of place. She hoped she would be claimed soon. Then perhaps, she would feel like she belonged. She served herself a small portion, then stood up, following the others to the fire, as she had learned to do the past few days. They were supposed to put food in the fire, because for some reason, the gods liked the spell. When it was her turn, she tore off a piece of bread, through it into the fire, and awkwardly whispered so softly the words were not discernible, "Mother, whoever you are, tell me, please." She turned, about to walk away, but noticed that all eyes had turned to her, or rather, the spot directly above her head. She raised an eyebrow at nothing inparticular, before glancing upwards. Floating above her head was a crescent moon and a star. She gave a small smile. She had finally been claimed, though she didn't know by whom.
