I think this is a great piece, Lily. Very honest. But ugh, I wish I just went to all the schools where kids were bullied so I could tell the bullies off. T_T Because people seriously don't wanna mess with me. ESPECIALLY if they're messing with my friends. It's great you could overcome it all, though. If you're ever having trouble with anything like this any other time, though, always feel free to PM me. :-) I always have an open ear, and will give advice to the best of my abilities if it's wanted. Just wanted to let you know I'm here if you need someone to rant to or anything. :-)

but yea some americans can be pretty racist, though that doesnt happen here because we have alot of ppl of different ethnicities, actually im pretty sure that the whites are the minority here.

Lawl, I did warn all of you that Ri is SOME part of my personality. She just doesn't show herself all that often. xP

And seriously, all the schools I've ever gone to had like, no bullying, except for maybe some very minimal stuff. And then I hear a bunch of people from one of my youth groups and how they knew these horrible elementary kids that used to dislocate their knee caps and crap and I'm just like, "O.O What was wrong with your elementary schools...?!"

in case you're wondering why Lily's been gone, there was the chinese new year......so I was gone for most of that, and my mom really doesn't like my phone, and I'm down with a really bad cold, my fever was 102.2 for a long time but now It's around 100 so I guess I'll be better now....I'll return later when I can xP

You know, I was always confused about why people think of Japan as such a peaceful country. Okay, maybe me coming from a country held in Japan's grasp might just be it, but truth is, Japan could hardly ever be considered peaceful. I hvae to admit, I did get a little annoyed when people said Japan seemed peaceful. I Japan seems peaceful to you, then does North Korea seem peaceful? because in terms of the crimes they've done, they're no different. Of course, they're not the only countries like that. War makes people do a lot of stupid things. But the problem is, most of the countries admit their mistakes and apaologize. Japan's current minister seems to have different ideas.
Peace? Yeah right. You're talking about a country that almost took over the whole continent we know as Asia, and tortured their inhabitants for quite a long time. I know, this is a political issue I shouldn't be talking about, because I'm too young to get in the news and take interest of what's going in this country. I'll go fangirling over Twilight and Justin Bieber, like how you people expect me to be.

Sorry. I was looking up of the halocaust (I have an interest in stuff regarding human rights okay??) and it led to Japanese occupation and WW2 and...yeah.

yea Japan did treat ppl badly during the WWII time period. just look at the Rape of Nanking, or even how they treated POWs, not saying they are like this now. Japan actually hasnt done anything hostile though in the past...70 years though i dont think. but at the same time they have had alot to answer too. still its like saying Germany nowadays is responsible for what Nazi Germany did. you cant hold people responsible for what their ancestors did. Countries tend to change over time after all.

sorry if i seem to be arguing with ya, but ive always loved history

I don't hold them responsible, I just think they should acutally admit it happened and apologize. Isn't that the least you could do? I mean, most of the other countries apologize, but Japan never did. And before people think of Japan as all peaceful and everything, I wish they knew what really happened in history.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, America likes to completely downsize all the horrible things we've done... Our history textbooks pretty much victimize us in every situation except like, the Trail of Tears and slavery.

Y'know, I've heard my dad mention stuff about how Japan had done terrible things when they invaded China or something and keep denying it. So I sorta get what's going on here. Razz

Don't be afraid of having an interest in stuff regarding human rights, and other stuff like that! We don't expect you to do nothing but fangirl just because you're younger. Smile

Well America isn't exactly the only country that does that. I'm pretty sure our history textbooks do that once in a while as well, but you nevver know until you gain interest.
And yay, people understand me Very Happy

But it's not just China, they did a whole lot of terrible things to a lot of countries around them. Neutral

They did a lot of great horrible things to our country as well. They stayed here in The Philippines for many years and one of the worst things that they did, that I clearly remembered way back in High School, was the Bataan Death March. More or less 10,000 people died in that march. It's creepy when I get to watch documentaries about it on our local channels.

I'm gonna be leaving for a while. Maybe come back around June or so. Might pop in once in a while, but pretty unlikely. I really want to fix up whatever's left of my offline life, because I've done such a terrible job of managing myself lately, online or offline. I guess I'm breaking apart. I know, leaving won't affect this site that much, I've slacked off so much these days anyway. I apologize for that. When my life's a little more manageable, I'll come back. It's time for me to stop hiding. Again, so sorry for leaving. But what difference does it make anyway? One less brat to take care of, right? ;)
