Wes laughed when the roll bounced off Jake's head and onto the floor. She wondered why she hadn't tried that herself, but then she remembered that she'd only brought a sandwich. To deter attention from being drawn to any possible upshowing, she turned to Fred, "He's probably not going to remember this coversation in five minutes, but I'll make sure he talks to you afterward."

Jake flinched as something hit him in the head.
"Hey!" He looked back and forth for the projectile, but it had already fallen. "Knock it off!" He shouted, checking the port for crumbs. "I seriously just got... this..." He trailed off as he finished the last connections.
"Done!" He said triumphantly, putting his hands up. He shut the panel and jumped down to the floor and shoved the tools into his toolbelt. "Stand back, guys."

Fred looked at the machine but was more impressed the the horseplay. "impressive." she said still feeling line a fifth wheel.

Upon hearing Jake's command, Kris scoffed and stepped closer to the creation. "Why must we step back when you are so close to the machine thing."

Wes was already standing right next to the dragon when Jake announced it was done. She was about to back off of it until Kris intergected. She smirked and agreed, "Yeah, seriously," and leaned back on it, but only put a little weight in it.

"Giant. Fighting. Machine." Jake said, walking forward and yanking Wes back and made the group back a couple more feet. "What part of that concept do you not understand?" He snapped. He took a breath, focusing again.
He took a step forward.
"Festus 909: Agamemnon," His words rang loud and clear through the forge. He took another breath, partially for dramatic effect. "Activate."
For a moment, nothing happened. Then, you could hear gears creak to a start. Steam hissed out of its nostrils in steady breaths. Its eyes lit up to a glowing red.
Slowly, the automation rose. Within no time, the bronze dragon was towering over the campers. It stretched its wings out, rose its head as if to roar, then apparently thought better of it and lowered its head and wings, focused directly on Jake.
Jake grinned.
"Awesome."

Kris backed up as the machine hissed to life. "Oh my gods Jake... so this is what you have been slaving over all this time... sweet..." Kris examined the creation and then looked at Jake. "So, what can it do?"

Fred joked she was still feeling like a sore thumb.
she didn't fit in with this crowd. but the mecha was cool beyond cool it was subzero.
why couldn't she have a col god like Hephestus?

"It can stand there and use it's mind control powers to get you to ask what it can do," Wes said. She smiled and shrugged - it was a lame comment, but she couldn't think of anything else and didn't want to just stand there awkwardly.

(Finally!)
Jake grinned.
"A better question is: What can't it do?" He said proudly. "Program 15." Jake ordered the automation. The dragon lowered its head and transformed.
First a Chimera, then a giant Lion, then a manticore, then a minotaur, then an six-armed ogre, then a cyclops, then a draconae, then a pheonix, then a hellhound, then a giant boar, then a giant ant, a centaur, then its form returned to the original dragon.
After it had returned to a dragon, Jake continued.
"Brand new guardian of the camp- he'll never tire, he's always alert, and obviously really powerful. He can also be used as a higher end training assistant."
The dragon stretched its wings, casing shadows around them all.

Kris had stared at the automation while it transformed but suddenly her eyes caught sight of a paper on the near workbench. She picked it up and began reading the words. The second her eyes caught sight of of the words 'Ultimate Swordsman Challenge' she looked up at Jake. "What is the Swordsman Challenge Jake? Is it something fun?"

Wes raised an impressed eyebrow as the automation shifted forms with ease. Then something Jake said caught her attension. "New gaurdian?" She asked with a grin, "Have you broken it to Ty yet?" Looking over at the paper Kris had just picked up, she had a feeling she was about to get even more impressed.

Jake grinned at Kris at the mention of the Ultimate Swordsman Challenge.
"Well, it's a bit of a challenge I made up, as a spin-off of the training programs. What you got to do is fairly simple. Just beat all thirteen of its forms in a row, no breaks." Jake actually was eager to test Agamemnon against Kris's skills.
"It's programed to be completely non-fatal" He added quickly. "And as for fun...." Jake then shrugged. "It'll be fun for the rest of us at least."

"When can we test it out? It sounds like a good work out." Kris' fighting spirit was starting to show. She seemed eager to try out the training program. She rubbed her hands together anxiously.

Fred's fingers touched the claymore on her back. " thirteen yeh say. ahd love ta try it oot after Kristina's done testing it oot"
she announced. she assumed Kris was a good swordsman.

Wes looked at the monstrous metal automation and imagined walking up to fight in with just a measly sword. She snickered a bit, "Yeah, sounds awesome. Remind me to restock the infirmary supplies."

"Don't worry, I will." Jake muttered to Wes, doubtful that they'd be able to beat the challenge any time soon and aware that a "non-fatal" training program didn't mean "no bruising, burning, or breaking".
He cleared his throat.
"Well, before anyone tries it out, I'd have to do a quick check-up to make sure everything's functional. Perhaps fly it around once or twice. And reveal it to the rest of the camp." He thought for a moment.

"Well Jake, hurry and do that. I am excited to test this thing out!!!" Kris seemed like a giddy little school girl. A new practice buddy, she was just excited at the thought.
