Wes stopped her and raised an eyebrow, "*Feeling* fine and *Being* fine are two totally seperate things Kris. Now stay put and cooperate or I'm gonna put you out."

"Well normally when i feel fine, I am fine." Kris stands up from the bed but immediately collapes to the ground, her body to weak to support her weight

"Only three ribs? Thought it'd be more." Jake joked, trying to smile but couldn't get it right. The rub down not only felt *really* wierd, especially coming from a girl he didn't know but it really aggrivated the wounds that were just starting to feel a bit better.
"Uh... I'm guessing you're new here?" He said to the girl lamely. He stayed standing, not wanting to sit down because he knew his body wouldn't want to get up again if he did.

Wes scooped Kris off the ground and laid her back on the bed, holding her down with an arm, "I don't know where you think you're going with that IV stuck in you, and don't try and take it out, 'cause then I'm just gonna put it back in and put you asleep." Wes turned her head, remembering Alex had said nothing about the spine, "Did you check his back yet?"

"I would guess the guy who's standing here like an idiot looking like he just got ran over like a truck(and feeling the same way)" Jake said sharply, wanting to hurry up and go. He just broke a couple bones. A week or two and he'll be shipshape and back to work.

Wes concidered that. "You can have a sammach," She said, porposfully pronouncing it like that, "I'm not sure how good eating would be after new blood, nectar, and morphine. Can some one make one for her while I run tests?"

Alex caught the pen. "Spine. Got it." She ran two fingers down the spine. Two broken vertabrae...she thought. "Kay." She lightly put a dot where the center of the problem was on each break or fracture. She then walked back over to Wes. "There ya go. All set."

"I'm not moving. Your job's done." Jake stated with a deep frown. He wasn't liking this new boy so far, and his annoyance towards being babied didn't help his attitude towards the kid.

"Well, I don't *want* any help. If you want to do something start cleaning the mess that's outside." Jake snapped, dimly aware that he was being rather unfair to the kid. He toyed with his pocket watch chain, thinking of how much needed to be done and how little of it was being accomplished by standing here.

Jake forgot his annoyance for a moment as he saw the lasp of logic in Kris's statement.
"Peanut Butter and Honey Mustard?" He said with a laugh. It was intresting how funny stupid things could be at moments like this.

Jake couldn't help but laugh harder at the actual sandwitch.
"When she said 'everything' I don't think she actually meant, 'everything'." Laughing hurt his chest but it was funny all the same.

Alex exited towards the mess hall, getting her supplies. She took Italian Bread, ALOT of honey mustard, and other things. She went back to the infirmary and gave Kris her sandwich. "I hope you like it," she smiled.

"WHAT!" The funnieness of the sandwitch was immediatly forgotten. "TWO *MONTHS*?!" Jake protested.

"I feel special having two sandwiches that both look yummy. Thanks guys." Kris took both sandwiches and placed them on her lap. She picked up the one that Alex made and took a bite out of it. "Yum"
