the arrival of Axel

Axel arrived at the camp. still not completely understanding everything, how could a summer camp answer why that strange demon like dog attacked him, let alone how his best friend Clove had actually been half goat. Axel would have liked to believe that Clove had a reason for telling him to come here. "to bad there is no way to speak to the dead" Axel said to himself as he entered the bighouse.

Cat stared at her iPod Nano as she trudged through the grass towards the Big House, scrolling through her songs. No, not in the mood for that. No, not that one either. Why the heck did she ever add this song? And this one... didn't sound the least bit familiar. She grumbled, shoving it back into the pocket of her cargo pants, hearing a *clink* as it collided with the spare change she kept in there. Which reminded her, she still had to get some of the... what was the currency around here? Golden drachmas?

 She brushed her hair out of her face and looked up at the Big House. She wasn't sure if she was in the right place - she was looking for Chiron, for a multitude of reasons: meet him, maybe get a confirmation that he was sane and not in the least bit mental for opening up this... special camp, and let him know she had moved into the Apollo cabin last night.

 She honed in on a tall, spiky-haired boy with a brown jacket, who was slipping through the front door of the Big House. She raised an eyebrow and went up to a jog. She went up the porch steps, skipping two at a time with ease, then crossing to the door.
 "Hi," she said, slowing down as she approached the boy.

Axel was surprised when he heard the voice. he turned around, at the same time instinctively reaching for his knife. it was a girl walking up to the farm house. she looked slightly younger than him. Axel had seen the cabins in the distance though he had not expected this to really be a what it looked like. strange, so this really is a summer camp. Axel thought. the girl seemed to be human, but he had seen some weird things in the last three days, so he kept his hand on his knife. still he needed to be sure this was the place. "hi" he replied cautiously. "is this Camp HalfBlood." he asked watching the girl to make sure she wouldn't attack, and catch him off guard.
