Brief History: Arabella’s father, Richard, was a rich and powerful businessman who happened to attract the goddess Aphrodite’s eye for his looks. They had an affair for a few months, and Aphrodite soon was expecting a baby. He proposed to Aphrodite, not knowing that she was a goddess, and she accepted the ring. But a few days after Arabella was born, Aphrodite disappeared, leaving only the ring behind with a short goodbye note. Richard was devastated and heartbroken- but determined to raise Arabella on his own. They moved to North Carolina, to a small town close to a beach. After about four years, though, Aphrodite pitied the heartbroken man and sent him a woman whom he could love, and Richard finally married and he had another daughter. Growing up, though, Arabella was unhappy. Arabella loved her father, step-mom, and sister, but she always dreamed of finding out who her birth mother was. When she grew up and was 12 years old, she didn’t really know how to handle that anger of the absence of her birth mother, so she started getting in fights at school and doing bad things, on purpose. Arabella was pretty, but she was shy, and could never really make any friends. Everyone always took advantage of her, and also made fun of her for her ADHD and Dyslexia. When she was in seventh grade, Arabella finally made a friend, a boy named Michael. One day, her history teacher turned into a gorgon and tried to kill her, but thankfully Michael saved her. He turned out to be a satyr, and took the confused Arabella home to explain the situation to her parents. Her parents understood, and Michael took her north to Camp Half Blood. She tried to stay only for the summer, but soon after she left the boundaries she was attacked by a hydra, and she and her parents agreed that she should become a year-rounder, until things got better.

Physical Appearance: Arabella is beautiful, but in a very subtle way. She has dark red hair that she dyed as another act of rebellion, wide, sparkling brown eyes, and soft pink lips. When she smiles or grins, she has dimples. She is average height, about 5’6, and weighs 115 pounds. On a normal day at camp, she normally wears slightly ripped light jean shorts, her Camp Half Blood t-shirt, and some white Keds. She usually wears her red hair straight and long, or straight with curled ends. She normally clips back her bangs or puts her hair in a ponytail. From being out in the sun so much, she has a soft tan. When at special events, Arabella often opts for cute clothing, such as flowered dresses, skinny jeans and a soft sweater, shorts with a bright hoodie, or a skirt with a cute tank top.

Personality: For a daughter of Aphrodite, Bella definitely isn’t stuck-up or snobby as the majority of her half-siblings are. She’s very outspoken and friendly, and it’s very easy to get to know her. She loves making and keeping close friends. She’s very innocent, and doesn’t like to be mean to anybody. She treats everyone very fairly and is very forgiving. Sometimes, other campers make fun of her because she is very naïve and can often be very silly or random. She loves sharing stories and she talks a lot. She’s a very good listener, and loves helping her friends with their problems or worries. She’s always known for laughter. She loves laughing and making other people laugh. Arabella believes that being happy is a very important thing, and she loves spreading happiness around the people that she knows. She can be slightly defensive if someone insults her, but forgives quickly, or laughs off insults. And although she isn’t stuck-up, she still has some of Aphrodite’s personality in her. She loves love. She loves giving love, receiving love, and can tend to be a hopeless romantic. She’s very sweet and loves all animals (she’s a vegetarian), and she has an obsession with all kinds of candy. She’s cheerful always, even in the worst of times, and her friends always consider her as the optimist.

Fatal Flaw: Bella’s fatal flaw is envy. She often wishes she could have things that other people have, have certain looks as other people in her cabin, and she mostly envies the normal lives of people who aren’t demigods. She envies people who can leave camp and can spend time with their real family and siblings without getting attacked violently by monsters, because Bella wishes she could do this. When she envies someone or a certain quality or thing, that feeling roots in her heart and often makes her very sad. This type of envy that she suffers from could ruin her, because it can make her turn against the Olympians due to the fact that Aphrodite left her and her father, and because it could make her want the things that she envies so much that she might go to the point where she would go to extreme lengths to try and attain it.

Talents: Bella is very good at helping her friends pick out outfits, most likely a skill she received from being the daughter of Aphrodite. She also has a very sweet singing voice, and is a decent swimmer. Her best talent is matchmaking her friends. She loves picking out cute couples, and she always wants to make people happy. On another subject, Bella is a good archer and is very talented with caring for animals, and is a skilled pegasi handler. She loves spending time in the stables. Bella is actually pretty talented at fighting when she needs to, but she hardly ever does this because she doesn’t like being mean to others.

Weapons: Bella’s weapon of choice is a set of wooden bows and arrows. The feathers on her arrows have soft streaks of light pink in them, and her arrows have celestial bronze tips. Bella often carries a celestial bronze dagger on her belt, just in case, although she rarely uses it because she likes her bows and arrows best.
