Just chilling out

(I've started a lot of these topics with Jake being lazy... usually sleeping.)

Jake was laying down on the warm sands, only partially awake. As usual, he had spent most of the day and night hard at work making sure Agamemnon was in ultra-prime condition and planning possible upgrades. Agamemnon was probably somewhere around, but Jake was trying to let the automation roam on its own.

A good thing about camp? The weather was always wonderful. You could just lay out on the sand, warmed by the sun and cooled by the wind. Jake shifted, pleasantly comfortable.

Kris bounded over the dunes on the beach and spotted Jake. A smirk crossed her face and she snuck around to the water, careful not disturb Jake and alert him of her presence. She dropped her stuff and the sand and walked slightly into the water. With the water up to her ankles, Kris felt stronger and refreshed. The smirk crossed her face again. She imagined poor Jake getting soaked with water and low and behold, the salt water obeyed her thoughts. A jet of water shot up behind her and aimed straight for the resting boy, soaking him to the bone.

Jake coughed and sputtered as he suddenly was utterly drenched. He quickly pushed himself up onto his arms, shaking the water out of his hair. He started to wipe the water out from his face, only to discover that his hands and arms were now covered in wet sand.
He spat the terrible tasting sand out of his mouth.
"What the heck!?" He said between sputters. He looked around then saw the culprit. "Kris!"

Kris chuckled as she watched Jake stand up. But when she was caught, she did the one thing she knew best, took a dive. Running into the deeper area and diving in was the only way to hide at the moment. She stayed under the water, laughing her head off. After a couple seconds, she decided to see what Jake was doing. She surfaced just barely, only allowing her eyes above the water.

Jake glared at the spot where Kris disappeared in the water for a while. He was much smarter than to go diving in after her, considering she had a definite advantage. She could breathe underwater, while he could hardly swim.
Jake stayed where he was for a bit, but deciding he didn't like being covered in wet sand, he moved closer to the edge of the water to wash it off. He still watched the water warily, expecting another round.

Seeing Jake at the waters edge, Kris willed the water to scare him, creating a small jet that would not touch him but just enough to make him reel back. She smiled and swam towards the shore a little bit, keeping the water still as she moved.

[GeneralArin]

Jake flinched and shot fire at the jet of water, vaporizing it.
"No! I am not getting any wetter!" Jake snapped, most of the sand washed off by now.

[Kristina]

Kris snickered at Jake before popping out of the water and walking on it's surface like her ancestor Orion. "Hey Jake! Up for a little fire versus water game?" She walked closer and closer to Jake, quite content at her ability to not fall beneath the surface of the water.

Jake grinned.
"Why not?" He took some steps back away from the water line. "So, we just shoot our element at each other until we get tired?"

[Kristina]

Kris nodded her head. "That sounds about right. That or until the other person gives up." She readied herself, raising a column of water behind her and ready to drop beneath the water to escape Jake's flames.

[GeneralArin]

"Alright then." Jake said with a smile. "Bring it on!"

[Kristina]

Kris nodded and smirked. She will the column of water behind her to jet at Jake, hoping to push him off balance.

Jake jumped back a few steps, giving himself room to react. He punched some light fireballs at her, hoping to bait her into a better opportunity to strike.
