'Chip shops? You mean, like potato chips?' Dominic asked. He knew that right now he should be a little concerned. He was traveling with a girl whose mother wanted her to kill him, the plan was even more dangerous.
'We've got burger joints and things like that? Will that do?' He asked.

" don't worry i want to kill every one. its nothing personal." she joked " and ah suppose i mean French fries. huvent had a decent fish supper in a month. any way onward to New York ." fred answered.

'We'll see what we can do.' He said before following her down the path. They traveled for a good few hours before eventually making it to the city. So far no monsters had attacked them. For the first time he was glad to be a Son of Apollo and not anyone bigger like Zeus, Poseidon or Hades. He was sure that if one of them had been his dad then they would have been attacked hours ago.
'Where abouts is your ride?' Dominic asked as they walked down the street, ignoring the burning pain in his feet from all the walking.

" multi storey car park. yeh know French fries are Belgian? just saying." she vaguely remembered the name of the car park. next to the Burk and Hare body shop. she loved that but she got the impression that the owners didn't get the joke.

'You mean that one?' He asked and pointing down the street to a huge multistory car park that stood next to a few stores. He noticed the Burk and Hare body shop and raised an eyebrow.
'Burk and Hare? Why does that sound weird?' He asked as they walked towards the car park.

" that were grave robbers in the Victorian age sold body's to the university. for anatomical study. don't know if the guys who run the place get the pun." fred was enjoying herself imparting useless information.

Dominic bit his lip to keep down the chuckle. The poor fools, they had no idea what they had done.
As they passed by he stole a glance in the body shop window. The sight of the soaps and perfumes made him wonder if he had packed anything to clean with apart from a half used tube of tooth paste and an old tooth brush.
For a moment his thoughts were interupted. Something caught his eye in the reflection of the window, but when he turned round there was nothing there but an empty road and closed stores.
'Huh...weird.' He said and scratched his head, 'Must be seeing things...'

"Wihits weird?" Fred asked she had noticed the lack of trafic and pedestrians to.
but at least they were close to her volkswagen kubelwagen.
