TV Show Recommendations?

So earlier this week, my mom wanted me to quit watching Phineas and Ferb (the only thing connected to my stay in America now)
and start watching a comedy show, like Big Bang theory or friends. But like almost eveery one out there has a gay/lesbian couple right? Well i wnated to watch Glee but i found ou the main guy was a gay. I didn't care. My mom did. She wouldn't let me watch it. So here i am, looking for some new TV seiries i can find online.

Reccomendations?

They're real in my mind :'( but Psych and Alpha dog is. Though Alpha dog is about military trained dogs that do super awesome stuff. Like attack drug runners, sniff out dead bodies, etc etc. And one of them was used in the killing of Osama Bin Laden. But anyways if you want Comedy I'd go with Psych. Great humor though this season has ended and the next one will be coming up sometime I don't know when.

Everyone tells me to watch game of thrones but i havent seen it.
Red Dwarf and Defiance are good the new TMNT is ok so is MLP. i dont watch much TV though.

the remade Battle star Galactica is ment to be good but in your age range try i duno i asked my Xbox mates and Victorious was sugested as was Smallvile and Arrow for the shirtless men.

if you want more than just the shirt off try Sparticus and say its historical. lets just say theres more than just swords swinging about.

Guys guys, first of all,thank you for your suggestions. I'll take most of them into.consideration, single out some, and choose the ones.


But for now, i think Psyche might be interesting, since i already like a a dtective show. But not sure if i'll likes it......After Sherlock, i've never been able to watch anything less......meaning most of them shows.

X Factor-Thanks for the suggestion. Korea is all the rage in those audition shows, even though i never watch them. I guess i should thank that show for creating my favorite singer.......okay, sorry. I'll give it a thought.

Even though its already been decided, I third Psych xD And I also suggest Once Upon a Time. GREAT show about fairy tale characters being trapped in the real world and not knowing they're fairy tale characters except for this boy.
And also, I know you said no cartoons,but...if you've never watched Teen Titans, freaking WATCH IT. Best. TV show. Ever. It's all on Youtube xD
